I Won a Jurors' Award of Merit!

Sunday June 16th I went to the opening reception of the juried show Stonington Printmakers' Exhibit: "Journey: Processes in Print" at the Slater Memorial Museum in Norwich, CT, in which I have three pieces featured, and found out that my print "Buddha with Flowers" won a Jurors' Award of Merit! Thank you jurors, Joan Hausrath and James Reed!

Exhibiting Soon in a Juried Exhibit at Slater Memorial Museum!

I am about to exhibit in the Stonington Printmakers' Society juried exhibit at Slater Memorial Museum in Norwich, CT. Three of my prints were accepted! Also super excited that one of the prints they chose to feature in the email invitation was mine! My print "Buddha with Flowers" is the one furthest to the right with the red flowers.

Opening reception is June 16th from 2-4 pm. Slater Memorial Museum is located at 108 Crescent Street, Norwich, CT 06360. I've never shown in a museum before, super excited! I think admission to the whole museum (which is a pretty cool place, hundreds of classical plaster sculptures are in one gallery, samurai suits are in another, and an exhibit on a turn of the century yacht trip around the world is just some of what's there besides the printmaking exhibit) is only $3, you can't beat that! Come and see my art this summer!

Summer Solstice Art Exhibit

I am showing a piece in the Summer Solstice Art Exhibit for the month of June at Groton Public Library in the meeting room. I went to the opening reception today, they even had a printed name tag all ready for me, very fancy. Come check out my soft pastels piece "The Horn" anytime this month!
